There’s a difference between price and value.

Any economics teacher worth their salt will tell you that price and value aren’t the same thing. When you buy an umbrella, it has a fixed price—but it becomes very valuable to you when it starts raining. Let’s first talk about the price you’ll pay to live here, which includes an Entrance Fee and a Monthly Fee. Then we’ll explain the value of living in a Life Plan Community like Rogue Valley Manor.

Price, explained.

Entrance Fee

The Entrance Fee is a one-time fee you pay when you first become a resident. Your Entrance Fee is determined by the size and style of the apartment or cottage you choose (you pay more for bigger, fancier residences and less for our smaller, more humble abodes). Our two Entrance Fee options—Traditional and 90% Refundable—offer you flexibility as you plan for your future.

Monthly Fee

The Monthly Fee is an ongoing fee associated with residency. The amount is also determined by the size and style of home you choose (you pay more for us to heat, cool, clean, and care for a larger place, and less for the smaller, cozier ones). At your current residence, you might pay multiple bills for multiple services and amenities. Here, you pay one fee, once a month. In return, you get a lot for your money.

Value, explained.

Your Entrance Fee and Monthly Fee work together to provide you with lifetime use of your apartment or cottage. They also provide you with access to our continuum of care, with healthcare fees that are discounted from current market rates. That means because you’re a resident here, if you need care you pay less for it than a nonresident who moves here for care.

Now, if you need different levels of care, your Monthly Fee may adjust accordingly. That’s because different levels of care require different kinds of professional, highly trained caregivers, more specialized services, personalized care, help with medications, and much more. But you’ll still pay less than nonresidents—and you’ll pay far less than if you opted for in-home care.

So when we talk about value, here’s what we mean: By choosing to live at Rogue Valley Manor, you’ve taken the what-ifs out of your future. You’ve made a plan that gives you, your spouse, and your family stability and predictability. You can age in place, knowing if your health or physical abilities change, you don’t have to leave your community to receive care. No one has to make decisions for you in a crisis. You’re in control of your present and your future.

Ask yourself: What’s the value of true peace of mind, and what price would you pay to have it?
